npower Climate Cops SOS 2009
The winners of the 2009 SOS competition have been announced....
Winner - Selby High School - winning a green prize fund of £20,000 for their school!
Runners-up - Blue Coat CE School & The Commonweal School

The ten finalist schools with the UK's 100 most environmental Climate Cops were:
- Blue Coat School, Coventry
- Burntwood School, london
- Chalfonts Community School, Bucks
- Congleton high School, Cheshire
- Endon High School, Stoke on Trent
- Humphrey Perkins High School, Loughborough
- Macmillian Academy
- Selby high School, North Yorkshire
- Swavesey Village College, Cambridgeshire
- The Commonweal School, Swindon
These schools identified their environmental SOS in their local community (from recycling, reusing and reducing to litter picking and cleaning rivers!), the 100 students developed their skills by participating in a Buzz Day training event in London and a week’s Green Outward Bound course in the Lake District.
These ten schools have already won £1,000 to help them develop their Climate Cops SOS project!
