Equality and Diversity policy statement
Our policy is to provide a platform for all 10-18 children to discuss environmental affairs and climate change, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religious belief or physical ability.
Our forums are accessible to any child (10-18) worldwide, and by disallowing student members to use pictures of faces and real names, we encourage dialogue on environmental issues regardless of the child’s actual background.
We encourage children from different cultural backgrounds to interact with each other, and believe this will lead to children acquiring a greater understanding of other cultures and traditions - as well as how climate change effects children from different cultures. We host materials to support this understanding and have partnered with Children in a Changing Climate in support of this.
Our foot painting engagement activity has been designed to be completely accessible for all children of school age regardless of gender, race, language or academic ability.
Our WOW campaign is a national campaign. Any school is invited to participate.
Our recruitment strategy fully complies with all current equality and diversity legislation. We rely on volunteers from all backgrounds.
Our staff, volunteers and partners comply with this policy. We rely on volunteer efforts from many people of different backgrounds. We choose our supporters without bias towards sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender, religious belief, or physical ability.
